Dear friends, Lizzard participants,

It is with great regret that we have to inform you that Operation Lizzard must be rescheduled from the original date of 26-28 May 2023, probably to the fall of 2023.

The reason is the recent outbreak of African plague affecting wild animals namely boars in the area of Česká Lípa and Mimoň and thus the closure of all forests for movement of the civilian population with immediate effect and for a period of at least 30 days. Unfortunately, the area may expand depending on further spread of the disease.

The entire area should become accessible at the beginning of the summer holidays, i.e. from July 1.

Unfortunately, this is a case of force majeure and we are unable to influence it in any way.

Taking into account the number of participants (1200+), the complexity of the scenario, the size of the required space and that the original date is less than 3 weeks, we are unable to provide an alternative solution that would allow us to provide you with a quality game.

We ask for your understanding, the conditions for any refund and the new event date will be announced as soon as possible.

The 14th episode of Operation Lizzard which is coming this May posses no big changes in the game play – extensive combat operations, dedicated commanders and skilled crew.
This year the role of the game background will play famous Operation Red Wings. The itself in inspired by the operation and missions will be situated there.
Both parties will accomplish various missions in race of controlling the Kandahar province. All means of play are allowed if they are in consent with rules and good behaviour.
You can look forward recond mission, assault missions, ambushes, base defences and other tasks.
This game is a sandbox type of milsim game with strong empahsis in chain of command, tactics, missions and operations and endurance.

How do we plant he Lizzard this year ?

50 hours of non-interrupted gameplay, proven as a right game lenght. Several of conceptual changes, new type of missions and in-game mechanics.

As mentioned above the ISAF and rebels will fight for control over. Here are specific parties´ description and details:

ISAF - Combined Joint Task Force 82
All reconstruction and humanitrian operations and projects are hereby delayed till the situation is stabilized again.
All the members of ISAF will be accomodated in military tents.
These services are available on site – chemical toilletes, potable water, power generators and other various tents for ISAF personell.
Recon teams
Eyes and ears, that´s what the recon teams stand for. These teams are dispatched within the first minutes of operation and they stay there for hours even days. The result of the operation stands and falls how succesfull the recon teams are in gathering vital informations. These teams work in 2 or 3 men sections and their primary mission is collecting intel. Not a job for everyone, but if you find this kind of job enjoying do not hesitate and join the recon.
Please note you will be required to attend the recon teams training not later than two months prior the operation itself.

Insurgents
They are back strong and dangerous !!!
Resting and getting reinfrocements through the winter they cam in force in spring unleashing hell within Zabul. They fight checkpoints, patrols even bases giving soldiers clear message – they are not welcome !. Some of the rebels take it is their destiny, some are hidden amongst villagers hitting the soldiers out of the cover. Every village has a leader who is responsible for operations organization into coordinated attacks and who is also responsible for keeping the drugs and weapons trafficiking on tracks.
There are two or three villages and one capital to shelter the rebels.

Afghan villagers
Do not be mistaken, this is a combat event so why there are villagers ? Yes, you can take the role of simple villagers or you can disugise yourself as villager while being affiliated with rebels.
You should note that larping is not required nor even frequent at this event. While this is really combat event other parties are not much interested in larping.

Participants under 18 years old are allowed to enter the event with written permission by law guardian only AND in accompany with responsible person above 18 years old.
e.g. participant under 18 years old brings his/her parents´s written permission (we will send a form on request) while his/her responsible person is his/her teamleader above 18 years old.
There will be Game marshalls present at the operation area for the entire duration of the event overseeing compliance to rules and executing its violances. We did test this at last Protector and we got very positive feedback.
We also put importance to participants – all registrations will be subject of authorization.

Starting in 2020 at all our events and based on land-owner strict condition all in-game vehicles will be charged as follows:
- In-game vehicles up to 2,5 ton by 48EUR (e.g. Jeep, Landrover, Rangerover, Toyota Hilux, UAZ, Willis Jeep, Lada Niva, Nissan Patrol)
- In-game vehicles over 2,5 ton by 96EUR (e.g. V3S, Unimog, Tatra)
- In-game armored vehicles (wheeled or tracked) by 242EUR (e.g. T52, OT64, BRDM, BRD, BTR, Pandur)
